Promotions, Audiences & STOP#
Run offers, coupons and new-product announcements to your customers and leads, on a schedule, and keep every list in one place. Find them under Campaigns → Promotions and Campaigns → Audiences; watch everything on Campaigns → Dashboard.
Which one should I use?#
| I want to… | Use |
|---|---|
| Send one message once to my CRM contacts | One-off campaign (Campaigns) |
| Follow up with leads or old customers over several days | Follow-up |
| Announce a launch, an offer or a coupon to many people, with reminders | Promotion |
Follow-ups and promotions share the same engine and the same creation steps; promotions are simply listed separately so offers do not mix with sales follow-ups.
1. Build an audience#
Under Audiences, create a list and import people from an Excel or CSV file, a Google Sheet link (shared as "Anyone with the link can view") or pasted rows. This works for customers from your old business, from other sources, or from anywhere else; they do not need to have bought through this platform.
Columns are matched by name: Name, WhatsApp No., Phone No., Email, and optionally Segment (customer or lead, or any label you like) and Tags (comma separated). Any other column, such as City, can be used in messages as {city}.
- Duplicates (the same number or email, however it is written) are skipped automatically.
- Search, filter by segment, move people between customer and lead, delete people or whole lists, and export the list as CSV at any time.
- A campaign can also include your CRM contacts (people who chatted with your AI), optionally filtered by lead status.
2. Create it step by step#
The guided form has four steps:
- Basics: business profile, name, channels.
- Audience: pick one or more lists, optionally only some segments or tags, and/or include CRM contacts.
- Messages: WhatsApp, SMS and email text, your own values (
coupon=EID20then write{coupon}), and an optional sequence of extra messages after a number of days. - Schedule & safety: working hours, days, pace, daily limit, start date, reply and opt-out rules.
When you press Start, the audience is added to the campaign and messages go out one by one, automatically.
WhatsApp connection types#
All three connection types of your business profile work:
- Evolution and WaSender: free-form text, picture and voice messages.
- Official Meta API: Meta only allows an approved template to start a conversation. Pick an approved template in the Messages step and give its values (one per line for
{{1}},{{2}}…). Sync and delete templates on the Campaigns page, under each business profile.
Email: Gmail or any server#
Under Campaigns → Channels → Email you can Connect Gmail with "Sign in with Google" (no password to copy), or add any SMTP server. A connected Gmail is used first. Gmail has its own daily sending limits; for large promotions use a bulk email service.
Replies, STOP and the AI#
- When someone replies on WhatsApp, their sequence stops (you can turn this off per campaign) and your AI agent takes over the conversation, already knowing which message the person is answering.
- Anyone who replies STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE) is added to Audiences → Opt-outs and is never messaged again by any follow-up, promotion or campaign. They get a short confirmation, and can reply START to come back. You can also add or remove opt-outs by hand.
- By default every WhatsApp and SMS message ends with a line such as "Reply STOP to opt out." You can change or remove it per campaign.
Dashboard#
Campaigns → Dashboard shows messages delivered, failed and invalid per channel, a daily chart, replies and opt-outs, and the progress of every follow-up and promotion.
Good to know#
- Only message people who agreed to hear from you, and follow local marketing rules (for example GDPR and PECR in the UK, TCPA in the US).
- You can delete any follow-up, promotion, one-off campaign, audience list or WhatsApp template. Deleting a campaign removes its message log.
- Your administrator can switch these features on or off for your account.
