Website Chat Widget#

Put your AI sales agent on your own website. Visitors get a chat bubble in the corner of every page; the conversation uses the same agent, products and rules as your Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp channels, and every chat lands in your SalesChat inbox.

Set it up#

  1. Open Business Profiles → Integrations → Website Widget.
  2. Turn the widget on and enter the Allowed domains — the websites that may show it (for example myshop.com). You can paste a full address such as https://www.myshop.com/; subdomains are included automatically.
  3. Optionally set a name, a brand colour and a welcome message.
  4. Save, press Generate Script and copy the snippet.
  5. Paste it into your site, then reload a page — the bubble appears in the bottom corner.

Where to paste the snippet#

  • WordPress / WooCommerce — install a "header and footer scripts" plugin (for example WPCode) and paste it into the footer, or add it to your theme's footer.php just before </body>.
  • Shopify — Online Store → Themes → Edit code → theme.liquid, just before </body>.
  • Any other site — paste it before the closing </body> tag. Placing it in <head> also works.

What visitors get#

  • A chat window that keeps its look on any theme, and works full-screen on phones.
  • Product cards with order buttons, product photos, and automatic order taking — the same sales tools as the other channels.
  • Their conversation is remembered in the browser, so it is still there after a page reload.

Taking over from the AI#

Open the conversation in your Conversations inbox and pause the AI (or simply reply yourself, if auto-pause is on). The visitor sees "A team member will reply here shortly", and your reply appears in their chat within a few seconds. Resume the AI whenever you like.

Good to know#

  • Each chat message uses your plan's credits and conversation allowance, like any other channel. An expired plan or empty credit balance pauses the widget.
  • Messages are rate-limited per visitor to stop abuse, and only your allowed domains can use your widget key.
  • Blocked customers in your inbox stay blocked in the widget.
