Connect your Instagram Professional (Business/Creator) account so the AI agent answers every Instagram DM — and, optionally, every comment on your posts and reels.

Connecting your account

Instagram Messaging runs on the same Meta Messenger Platform as Facebook, so it shares the same AI pipeline — but it doesn't have its own guided scan flow. Since every Instagram Business account is linked to a Facebook Page, activate it manually:

  1. Make sure your Instagram account is linked to a Facebook Page under business.facebook.com → your Page → Settings → Linked Accounts.
  2. Go to Business Profiles → Connect Instagram.
  3. In Graph API Explorer, select your Page and query /me?fields=instagram_business_account to get your Instagram Business Account ID.
  4. Add the instagram_manage_messages permission (and instagram_manage_comments if you want comment auto-reply too), then generate a token.
  5. Paste the Instagram Business Account ID and token into the connection form.

Unlike Facebook and WhatsApp, this step doesn't auto-subscribe the webhook for you — subscribe the messages field (and comments, if wanted) on your Meta App's own Webhooks page once, pointed at the callback URL shown in the connection dialog.

What the agent can do on Instagram

  • Reply to every DM instantly — same AI pipeline as Messenger, including product cards and orders.
  • 1-Click Order — the customer taps one button on a product card and the order is placed instantly.
  • Read images the customer sends and reply about them.
  • Comment Automation — public reply, private inbox follow-up, or both, plus automatic spam/negative comment removal, same as Facebook.

Manual takeover

Reply to any conversation yourself from Instagram — the AI detects your manual reply and pauses itself for that conversation, then resumes automatically after a cooldown. You can also pause/resume the AI per-conversation from your dashboard.

Comments too

The same connection powers Comment Automation on your Instagram posts and reels — public replies, private inbox follow-ups, and spam removal.
