Connect WhatsApp via WaSender
WaSender is a third-party service that lets you use a regular WhatsApp number with Sales Chat AI (no Meta Business verification needed). This guide walks through connecting it correctly, step by step — follow every step, since skipping the webhook setup is the most common reason replies don't work.
1. Create a WaSender session
- Go to wasenderapi.com and log in (or sign up).
- Create a new WhatsApp session and scan the QR code with the WhatsApp number you want to use for this business.
- Wait until the session status shows Connected.
2. Copy your API key
- Open your session, go to the Credentials tab.
- Click the eye icon next to API Access Token to reveal it, and copy it.
3. Connect it in Sales Chat AI
- In Sales Chat AI, go to Business Profiles → Connect WhatsApp (WaSender).
- Give it a name and paste the API key you copied.
- Save. Sales Chat AI will show you a confirmation message containing your
Webhook URL — it looks like:
https://scai.nextcorebd.com/webhook/wasender/<your-profile-id>/Copy this exact URL — you'll need it in the next step.
4. Set the webhook in WaSender (the step most people skip)
WaSender can only be configured to send messages to Sales Chat AI from their own dashboard — there is no way to do this automatically from our side.
- In WaSender, go to your session → Edit Session (or Manage Webhook).
- Turn on "Enable Webhook Notifications".
- Paste the Webhook URL from step 3 into the Webhook URL (POST) box. There is only one URL field — do not look for a separate secret field here.
- Under Webhook Events, tick
messages.received(andmessages.upserttoo, if it's shown — Sales Chat AI accepts either, so ticking both is safe and avoids guessing which one your account actually sends). - Click Save Changes.
5. Add the Webhook Secret back in Sales Chat AI
WaSender generates its own secret per session (separate from the URL) and sends it with every webhook call so we can verify it's really coming from your account. You need to copy that into Sales Chat AI too:
- Back in WaSender, go to your session → Credentials tab.
- Click the eye icon next to Webhook Secret to reveal it, and copy it.
- In Sales Chat AI's Business Profiles page, find this WaSender connection's card and click "Add Webhook Secret".
- Paste the value and save.
6. Test it
Send a WhatsApp message from another phone to the connected number. If everything above was done correctly, your AI Agent should reply within a few seconds.
If it doesn't reply: - Double-check the Webhook URL in WaSender matches exactly what Sales Chat AI showed you (no typos, no extra characters at the end). - Make sure "Enable Webhook Notifications" is turned on and you clicked Save Changes in WaSender after pasting the URL. - Make sure the Webhook Secret you pasted into Sales Chat AI is the current one shown in WaSender's Credentials tab — if you ever regenerate it in WaSender, update it here too. - Make sure an AI Agent is linked to this business profile (Business Profiles → select an agent from the dropdown on this profile's row).
